Maddie McCann, Gypsies and the Insane Media

I really want to write about the latest Roma happenings in the news, but I just don't have time.

I want to write about how disgusted I am with it all, swooping on families simply because their children look different.

They wouldn't dare do it with a British family, or Asian or Portuguese.

There is a big mixed gene pool out there, we're not part of some Aryan society.  We're all different.

I've just read that the Irish child who was taken from her parents and DNA tested was actually their biological daughter and she was returned to them after spending 2 nights in care!!

Umm no, it wasn't just a Roma couple with whom she had been living - it was her damn parents and family!  That woman gave birth to a BLONDE child, what a friggin shocker.  Now why didn't that make the front pages of our crap press?

There's always been gypsy predjudice around but like the rest of society, they have their good and their bad and they're certainly not all child snatchers.

If the authorities were so concerned, what about all the other children they missed and left behind when they were searching for the blonde children?  You know the ones with brown or black or ginger or any other colour hair. Or are abductees restricted to being blonde?  I don't think so, you fools.

And then we have the pink spin with an extra rinse for good measure, shameful reporting, absolutely shameful...

'Maddie' found in Greece

'Maddie' found in Ireland

Media, please get a grip - do you think we're all stupid?  'Maddie' was NOT blonde, she was not found in Greece or Ireland.  She is totally unrelated to anything Roma.  Read the goddamn files and report ACURATELY.

Do us all a favour and slither back into your hole.  Feckin t0ssers.

PS... great news about the possible reopening of the case in Portugal.  Absolutely brilliant :)

A Dangerous Game...

I avoid the MSM like the plague.

It's usually full of pink spin, always attempting to either detract or pre-empt.

Or simply full of lies.

I can't ignore the latest appalling headline in the Sun.  The implications of the grisly end that Madeleine may have come to are just too sickening for words.  Alongside her photo.

All sensational detraction and a sordid exercise for profit.

This is something that is more harmful to the twins than anything they could ever read.  Whoever thought this one up should thoroughly hang their heads in shame.  Actually they deserve a good flogging, but I wouldn't want my words misconstrued.

Whatever happened to investigative journalism - will these idiots ever grow a backbone and report sensibly and properly?

Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that one.

A very public awakening?

This little blog usually only gets around 100 - 150 hits on a normal day...

Since the hysteria that is Crimewatch was first advertised, the number of hits has risen tenfold.

It seems the general public's curiosity has truly been awakened this time around.  It's like travelling back in time to 2007 when we all sought sanctuary for our doubts and wavering thoughts.  It's happening again.

I've just read on Blacksmith's blog that visits to the McCann Files website are numbering a collosal 100,000 hits per day.  Pamalam recently posted on Maddie Case Files that people were arriving in their droves to view the Smith statement at 100 hits per minute!  The number of members on the Facebook Controversy group has leapt to almost 11,000.

Have the public finally had their bellies full?  The last straw?  All this interest due to a BBC production, not some book about the case. No, no they can't say that this time around.

Sometimes on the blog feed, it's possible to see what a person has searched for via certain search engines.  Here are a few of the things that people are now seeking answers for...

Madeleine cadaver dogs ignored
Are the McCanns narcissists
McCann lies Crimewatch
Kate McCann's silver necklace
Police statements of Dr Payne
Operation Grange cadaver dogs
An act of madness, an accident or sudden impulse can lead to consequences that people may have never imagined or intended
Martin Grimes Madeleine McCann
Kate McCann refused to answer questions
Find Madeleline Fund private limited company
Why did FSS change their minds about McCanns
Bob Small Madeleine McCann
McCann farce
Kate McCann book page 129
Kate McCann forgive
Mrs Fenn Maddie

Interesting, hope these searchers find the answers they're looking for. And to the person who searched for 'the bunion on my left foot'... I have no idea how you ended up here, so sorry that I couldn't help and hope you've found some relief...

If you're interested in the case, here are some sites that you should consider having a browse..

Or you could read the English translation of Goncalo Amaral's book, the Truth of the Lie. From what I can gather, it's just a condensed version of the official files.  We'll have to wait for confirmation on that one though...

Your comments are most welcome, although set to moderated since being PG'd, I always try and check throughout the day.  If you have any messages or comments that you wish to send and don't want published, please continue to do so but mark appropriately in the comment box.

Thanks for your visits.  And a big thumbs up to whoever halted the spamming.

Justice for Madeleine.

Hope for Madeleine McCann?...

Ever the optimist, I'm keeping an open mind after watching Crimewatch and hoping against hope that Scotland Yard are playing a long game.

I'm not sure what the theatricals established last night other than to show that in 6 years and many millions spent, we're no further forward than we were when the case was shelved.

The pantomine that was the Crimewatch 'reconstruction' also goes to prove that a full and acurate official reconstruction is needed in the original setting of Praia de Luz with all key witnesses present.

A fundamental police act which will serve to remove contradictions, inconsistencies and lies.

The only accuracy I could spot was the uncanny resemblance of the abductor to Mr McCann - as originally confirmed by Mr Smith in his official statement to the police.

The Portuguese have said that there is no new and credible evidence to reopen the case - the answer really does lie in the file.

And there we have stalemate.  And a case that is still sitting on the shelf.

However, by working together perhaps the Portuguese and British police have found a way round this gridlock?

We now find ourselves back in time where Goncalo Amaral left off and concentrating on the Smith sighting.  And although we may never find out just why she fingered Murat, Jane Tanner's sighting has officially been ruled out.  Something that the McCanns and their many private investigators should have really done instead of shamelessly promoting over the years.

From the official police files and recently confirmed by evidence we've heard from the McCann v Amaral trial, we know that the British authorities were involved from day one.  The British first suggested homicide and the British recommended the use of the dogs.

Unless DCI Redwood can explain those compelling and haunting cadaver dog alerts, I'll continue to hope that the police will do their job and justice will rightly be served.  No matter how long it takes.

The Amended Timeline...

The accepted version of events are wrong?

Investigation significantly changes timeline?

Would this be changes to the Sticker Book timeline?

Or changes to the Tapas statement timelines?

Is it someone else's timeline?  Maybe Erik, the ice cream man?  Or Henry, the mild mannered janitor?

The accepted version of events have been out there for over 6 years, mulled over and analysed by all.  Who noticed that they were wrong? Didn't the McCanns ever notice?  Kate has, after all, been working very hard and spent countless hours analysing the files.  Their private dicks must be kicking themselves for not spotting such an anomaly.

Maybe their watches were all out (just like the camera) and we really should have been following that alternative timeline which did indeed seem to start an hour earlier?

If this is such a revelation!!! then surely it's enough to reopen the case in Portugal.  No?...

How many versions of events are there?  Can we add this to the versions of the truth?  Maybe we could have one big Spot the Difference competition, where all entrants have to circle and underline in green ink. The winner gets to add their own timeline into the mix.

This is all so very intriguing but pointless speculating...  Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I can't help but thinking that everyone involved are callously playing with a child's life.  Dribbling news to the press...  waiting to release e-fit pictures... showing snippets of a programme yet to be broadcast... parading the parents as if they're celebrities.  This is Crimewatch, not some 'coming soon to a screen near you'.

Or maybe they know something we don't.  Whatever, it's all been done in the worst possible taste.

The McCrimewatch Saga

An unforgiveable display of group members on the Official Find Madeleline Facebook page slagging off Portugal and its police.  And the page admin 'liking' all the comments.  I mean, that's so bad guys, come on!  It's not the first time either.  I wish people would remember that Portugal and its people did not ask to be dragged into this sorry state of affairs - the morons seem to forget one point when waving their pitchforks at the Algarve - the McCanns et al chose to holiday there.  And why would that be??  Maybe because Portugal and its people are very friendly and family orientated?  Or maybe just because there was an Ocean Club with lots of freebies and a nice convenient creche, but you know what I mean...

Anyway, it's clear to see that the appeal is only going out in the UK, Germany and Holland.  Not Portugal.  Not France.  Not Spain or any other country whatsoever.  So why single out Portugal as the bad guys? Huh?

BBC Programme : SIC asserts it was not contacted

"SIC was not contacted to broadcast the documentary that the BBC has made about the "Maddie case", contrary to what the English press has published. Next Monday (14), the British station broadcasts on its show Crimewatch what is promised to be a reconstruction of Madeleine McCann's disappearance. The script results from the Scotland Yard's investigation. The British press asserts that the Portuguese televisions refused to broadcast the documentary. Nonetheless, questioned by DN, an official source at SIC asserts that the channel was never contacted. RTP and TVI have not replied until this edition's closing time.

Diário de Notícias, 09.10.2013, paper edition

So there you have it... no more upset, bafflement or scratching heads. Portugal wasn't asked to show the programme... along with a myriad of other places.  For some reason, unknown to everyone as yet, Scotland Yard want this appeal shown in three specific countries.  Surely the McCanns must've known this, or are they really in the dark about the Crimewatch?  Perhaps they should now instruct their admin to update their Facebook page and followers with this snippet of info and remove the offending comments?  I think the Yard should have made it clear that Portugal wasn't included in their plans... there's enough embarrassing xenophobia in this country without firing the flames.

That leads me onto the latest request from Kate via the Official Facebook page.

I wholeheartedly agree with this request, although its SIX years too late.

I have to ask myself how personal photos of the kids found their way online.  Oh that's right, the McCanns allowed their children to be photographed willy nilly, didn't they?  While in Portugal, they paraded past the press pack on a daily basis.  Press opportunities were set up (remember the zoo, Punch and Judy etc) and why, there was even a photographer in the private lounge as they fled back to the UK after being made arguidos.

Photos of the cousins is a different matter.  I've seen these online - there's only one way that they got into the public domain.

So if you see any offending photos or videos on Facebook, please report it to webmaster@findmadeleine.com in the first instance.  Do it.  For the children. Although I have to ask myself why the twins are on Facebook anyway - the age requirement to have an account is 13.  And can we please have the same treatment for all the Kate and Gerry mugshots? And not just on Facebook either.

Maybe this is something that will find its way into Kate's statement if she's allowed to speak in court?  Yes folks, these people want to defend themselves in a law suit that they brought about themselves.

It gets more bizarre as the days go on - you could write a book about it.

McCanns, Crimewatch and the Shiny New Suspect

So according to Sky News, Scotland Yard have a shiny brand new 'suspect'.  However, 'sources' have said police will not know how significant the suspect is until he is identified, traced and interviewed. Hey ho.  Tell us something we don't know.

Six and a half years later, they're expecting people to remember and recognise a photofit?  How bizarre...

I remember the morning of 4th May 2007 well.  I'd opened all the windows as it was a beautiful, sunny day.  I remember watching the news about the little British girl who had gone missing and feeling the horror mount as I heard that she'd been left alone in an apartment!  An apartment some distance from the bar her parents were, in a bedroom on the other side of the building.

I sure as hell do NOT remember who I saw or even talked to on that day. Or the day after. Or even maybe that year...

Lots of euphemisms spring to mind - needles in haystacks, clutching at straws, shots in the dark.  Waste of time.. resources... money.  How many more millions before the truth is really known?

I wonder if they've ran this snippet of greatly encouraging progress by the Portuguese police?  Chances are this person (if real) has probably already been investigated and ruled out.  Like every other second hand 'lead' that pops it's head from the files.

And yet again, little Maddie is put on hold because the world has to wait for the Crimewatch programme to be aired.

I'd be very surprised if this does anything but draw out the nuts, crackpots and attention seekers.  Unless, of course the Smith family have been allowed to be properly interviewed this time around and given a full photofit and description of the man they saw that night.  To be revealed for the first time live on Crimewatch?  Now that would make spectacular viewing...

Please, don't anyone hold their breath.

Crimewatch?... Just what is the crime and who are we watching?  Not Portugal, that's for sure.

The McMobile Trawl

October 2013 - London's Metropolitan Police say authorities are combing phone records of tourists and residents who were in a Portuguese resort at the time of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.  Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood told reporters Thursday that authorities were trawling through phone traffic of people in Praia da Luz around May 3, 2007, when the then-3 year-old vanished.

Interesting, but I thought the British authorities had already participated in this?  Or have I got deja vu again...

May 2007 - Mobile phone experts from Britain have flown to the Algarve to try and trace calls made on the evening 4-year-old Madeleine McCann went missing.  The specialists hope by using the silent signals left by mobile phones, they will be able to pinpoint where calls were made at the Praia da Luz resort on May 3 when Madeleine vanished.  By tracing the signals left by phones, which are logged on timed computers, the specialists believe they will be able to locate where calls were made within a few feet.

Can they explain this lot once and for all?...

Kate's phone - no calls made from 27th April to 4th May and no calls received from 11.22pm on 2nd May until 11.17pm on 3rd May

Gerry's phone - nothing prior to 00.15am on 4th May

However, inside Kate's phone there is a record of a call received from Gerry at 11.17pm on 3rd May. But no record of that call on Gerry's phone.
It had been erased.

It was claimed that British intelligence had already tapped the McCanns and their friends phones.  Is this data part of the file and being trawled through aswell?

Will they find the much talked about 10th Tapas and discover where he/she fled?

Will they find Eggman, making cracks, sorry tracks in the direction of Murat's home?

Will they confirm what side of the street Gerry and Jez were on??

Will they find the man carrying the sleeping child past the Smith family. Did he have his phone on him that night?  At long last, police might just be able to track down this elusive gent.  To within a few feet?...

Here's hoping.  Sceptical much.

And I have a niggle about those pay as you go mobiles that David Payne purchased for the group after Madeleine's disappearance.  Just a niggle.

And what about Ben Needham, and all the other missing children?

This all needs to end.  Soon.

The McCanns in Purgatory? Better call the Winchesters...

I've not read Goncalo Amaral's book yet, although I do have a copy.  I have watched the documentary though and it didn't change my mind or alter my thoughts on the case in any way.  The only ones who could have done were the McCanns themselves and they haven't managed that in 6 years.

You see, I've always thought of little Madeleine as the victim in this disturbing saga.  Not Mr or Mrs McCann.  I don't see any disgraced cops, only disgraced parents.  I've always been very open minded about what could have happened and always felt that certain individuals were very suss.

It is said that the McCanns only live in purgatory, not hell.  Well isn't that understandable for narcissists?  Ask the parent of any missing child and they'll tell you that life's certainly not a bed of roses, it really is a living hell, day after day.  However, the McCanns live in purgatory not because their precious daughter is missing, but because of a book?...  If that's not utter rubbish, then it's off the scale weird.

Trish Cameron made a very revealing statement in court yesterday.  Talk about over-egging the pudding?  Keep on digging, Trish - we can still see you!

"My brother and sister-in-law live in purgatory because they have no end and they are looking for the truth.  They would like an end but there is no end because they don't know what's happened."

It's well documented that Mrs McCann was already in purgatory long before the launch of Dr Amaral's book, she actually mentions it in her own account of the truth, Madeleine.  The only book that we are expected to read, believe and take as fact?  Well no thanks... it's taken me almost 3 months of sheer torture and a near death experience in the bath to get through and I'm only at the 'Birth of the Campaign'.  I'm sure bamboo under the fingernails would have been quicker.

I would agree with Mrs Cameron though - her brother and sister-in-law 'live in purgatory because they have no end...'

I wish we could call Dean and Sam.

McCann Land and Porky Pies

Michael Wright stated in evidence that young 'A' had searched for her name in Google.  I thought I'd give it a try...

Obviously, if her parents hadn't put her in the position she is in - she would have found nothing.  However, here's what she would have found before the trial... nothing too extreme, some nice Youtube videos - certainly nothing relating to Goncalo Amaral's book and dvd.

And after her parents objection to Amaral's request for media silence - here's what she would find today...

Scary stuff and the really diabolical thing is that all these articles and reports are online because the McCanns wanted it reported.  It's absolutely crazy that they would do this to their own children.

For their sake (and while they can), the time has come for the McCanns to simply take a back seat, shut up and get on with their lives.  Instead of persistently whining and stirring up their own hornet's nest, they should sit their children down and explain the full circumstances of Madeleine's disappearance (yes, their version of the truth).  It surely can't be scarier or more horrific than anything they'd see in the local newsagents or hear on the playground.

It would also be helpful to explain that because Madeleine's disappearance is so strange and unexplained, many people have doubts and their own dark thoughts about what actually happened.  There are full translations of the PJ Files online and many, many things worse than Goncalo Amaral's book.  Eight year olds are a lot smarter than we think and it would actually be better for the twins in the long run.  The inevitable is going to happen and the danger is everywhere - not just online.  And certainly not in the guise of the man who tried to discover what happened to their sister.

Don't you just know it though - it ain't gonna happen.  Not in narcissistic McCann Land.

And whatever next?  So far, their witnesses are hardly credible - consisting either family, friends or paid lackeys.  Where are all the independent health professionals and assessment reports relating to this sad state of affairs?  Hardly inspiring, eh?

McCanns - Crap Parenting... then and now.

I'm sorry to say it, but yet again the McCanns style of parenting is being called into question after revelations during their recent court action.

Yesterday's snippets included details of Kate's dark and suicidal thoughts.  Today's told of a bizarre kidnap plot threaded in the 3As forum.  I won't detail any of these crazy tales as they're not worth the bandwidth however, I will say that I was a member of that particular forum from day one, and do not remember any threats to the safety of the McCann children.  If I had, I would have reported it to the police myself, as I'm sure anyone else would.

Goncalo Amaral initially requested that the case be heard in private with no media presence to 'preserve the memory of Madeleine' - the McCanns objected and wanted everything heard and reported.

What kind of parent would want such awful, horrible things about themselves reported and tweeted live from court, then emblazoned on the front pages of British newspapers?

Remember the twins?...

Do Kate and Gerry McCann?  Do they even remember that they are parents?  Gerry referred to leaving children home alone whilst eating and drinking with friends at the Tapas bar as 'responsible'.  Do they even know the meaning of the word?  Any 'normal' parent would think hey we can't let this stuff get out, the kids would be horrified'...

These gruesome parents should be hauled over the coals for allowing this to happen and even more so for objecting to Goncalo Amaral's request for media silence.  Their whole case seems to be in defence of what the twins may or may not see and hear now and in the future. From what we've heard so far from the McCanns own witnesses, they'd have been aswell inviting the twins along sit in the public gallery.

Hopefully this is something that will also puzzle the judge.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Whatever next?... Poor children.

McCann v Amaral

I've not posted much lately on the case, however I have been around.

I thought that Goncalo Amaral's reason for keeping the media at bay from the libel trial were worth a mention...

To preserve the memory of Madeleine

Those words have left me with a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye this morning.  Yet again, a stranger has shown more feeling and respect for Madeleine than that of her parents.

I hope this trial makes it clear to the general public just who the callous money-grabbers really are.

Good luck and may the best man win.

Madeleine McCann - A New Investigation?

So London's top prosecutor and her deputy visited Portugal mid April to consult with Portuguese officials about Madeleine's disappearance.  And subsequently, Theresa May has announced that Scotland Yard will be opening their own investigation.  Can we assume therefore that this has been rubberstamped by the Portuguese if Ms May has been able make this announcement?  Which is all very interesting, because British police can only investigate British suspects and the CPS can only prosecute British accused, those who are alive and kicking.  So, can we technically rule out the swarthy European masses and free range Portuguese eggs and assume that the culprit/s are British?  And will Scotland Yard, indeed ask their own dogs?

We can speculate until the cows come home, but should we exercise extreme caution?  Should we really believe the British media this time around, they normally print such pink crap, and we've been up this hopeful path before only to be let down.  It feels different this time though and I can't help but have more than a glimmer of hope for Madeleine.  The weekend papers have been surprisingly quiet and completely pink free.  It's almost like the calm before the storm.

The British authorities aided the Portuguese police and their investigation from very early on.  Google Lee Rainbow and Martin Grimes for a very interesting read.  However, if Scotland Yard do open a full investigation, will they also investigate some of their own officers?  In particular, I refer to the comments made by Mrs McCann herself in her book Madeleine...

Remember Bob Small?  He was the McCanns liaison to the British police and the van-man who set up the framing of an innocent Robert Murat, aided by (er err I carried her this way) Jane Tanner... well according to Mrs McCann on page 226, Bob Small gave Mr McCann indications of the FSS results before he was interviewed by the Portuguese police. Astonishing.  Mr McCann rang Ken Jones, head of ACPO the day after. Wonder why.  Imagine that - persons of interest having direct lines to top British brass and being spoon fed sensititve information which allowed them to keep one step ahead of the Portuguese.  Having indications of the FSS results prior to their arguido interviews gave the McCanns the ability to complete their offensive, and to their success they fled the country within days, aided and abetted by the British government.  One must assume that Goncalo Amaral was absolutely correct in his accusations of political manipulation and gross interference from the British in this criminal investigation.

And what about those officers who reportedly delivered boxes of files to the McCanns on their return to Rothley after fleeing Portugal?  Or those who informed them that their phones were being tapped?  Who supplied Gerry McCann with the top secret CEOP manuals?  Who made the visit to Portugal in an attempt to suppress certain information being released in the PJ files?  And who on earth thought it was a good idea to withhold the Gaspar statements?  This alone would have turned the investigation on its head.

This all needs looking into.  Interesting times ahead.

Another interesting thing has happened.  For some time now, this blog has been spammed by pro comments, without fail, every single day. Sometimes there are up to 50 comments a day left.  This is the reason the comments are now moderated - it's really not a problem going in daily and deleting the spam, some of it is very amusing.  However, since the CPS news broke - the spam just stopped overnight.  Saturday, Sunday and now Monday... 0 spam.  Zilch. Nada.  Wonder why.

Six years - The search for truth and justice goes on.

It's been six long years since it was claimed that Madeleine McCann vanished into the night.

Lighting a candle for her tonight, let's hope we don't have to wait much longer to find out what really happened.

The Marathon and a Spin Too Far?...

I wasn't going to comment on the 'threat' issue, as so many people appear to have had their eyes opened, but my other half insisted.  And as Hideho has compiled one of her great videos, it's worth sharing and explains it all.

I will say that in the almost 6 years that I've followed this case, I've never once seen the McCann twins threatened from either side of the fence or elsewhere.  I just don't believe the article in the Star at all, I think it's a total fabrication.

Kate McCann, however, has once again put her own children directly in the firing line.  Speaking to Lorraine Kelly the other morning, she described how her children would be at the finishing line of the London Marathon, cheering her on.  Which is quite right and normal, however she failed to mention any of these bizarre, mortal fears or threats which is very strange.

The twins are now 8 years old.  They can read - they only need to catch a glimpse of that headline to ignite fear in their little heads.  Like on the garage forecourt when their mother leaves them twiddling their thumbs in the car.  They have friends who can also read - whispers on the playground are inevitable.

What on earth were the McCanns thinking?  It's utterly disgraceful.

The twins are innocents in this whole affair.  Why anyone would want to target them is completely beyond me.  And you know what?  Nobody does. It seems to be just yet another part of the wider agenda and is a spin too far.

Good luck to Kate McCann in tomorrow's run... I hope she finishes despite her recurring foot injury.

The fearful mother being interviewed by Ms Kelly ...

Kate McCann... Forgive and Forget?...

I just don't understand Kate McCann.

In her latest quest for martyrdom, she has well and truly put her foot in it.  Instead of vowing passionately to never, ever rest.  To hunt this monster down until her dying day and make him or her suffer, she simply forgives. Huh?!...

Strip away all the Christian and counselling 'forgiveness and move on' rubbish - you are first and foremost a mother and  this is her daughter. Her precious first born.  Who, in her own words, may have been taken by a paedophile.  I won't repeat page 129, but how on earth could anyone forgive that?

Mrs McCann claims to have no idea where Madeleine is, what she is going through right now or even if she is still alive.  Yet she can forgive?

Never mind the Portuguese police, Scotland Yard and normal members of the public who are all looking for her daughter.  Never mind the donations, reward money and aid they've received.  Never mind the endless pot of money that's been thrown into the search and investigation.  Never mind the fact that many people have followed this case for 6 long years (or however many years!!!), hoping for nothing but justice for Madeleine and for her to be found.

We're not all internet nutters, sitting behind a computer screen, typing abuse.  Some of us are parents and simply feel that the victim in this case is not Mr or Mrs McCann, but little Madeleine herself.  It's not up to Kate McCann to forgive anyone, it's Madeleine who should be forgiving.

Right enough, it all becomes irrelevant when you learn about Eddie, the cadaver dog and the many places where he sniffed out the scent of death.

The Void... The Burden... Sigh... Kate McCann Jogs On.

Kate McCann: 'It’s dreadful living with this void’

Six years after her daughter Madeleine disappeared, a weary Kate McCann still clings to the hope that one day she will be found.

Kate McCann did something frighteningly normal the other day.

She stopped at a petrol station, filled up, locked the car and went in to pay, leaving her eight-year-old twins, Sean and Amelie, strapped in the back seat. As she stood anxiously at the till, they pulled faces at her through the window.

Read more frighteningly normal and bizarre at
The Telegraph

“There are moments when you despair, but they are infrequent now.
As someone said : It’s not that your burden gets any lighter. It’s just that your legs get stronger.  That really sums it up.”

Never a truer word spoken... six years of running, looking over your shoulder makes for very, very strong legs indeed.  And THAT burden will never ever get any lighter.  Never.

Jog on...

Kate McCann and the questions she still has to answer...

There's been a bit of forum sniping going on over the last week or so, which isn't very nice BUT just for fun, I had to draw your attention to one board in particular - the Free-Speech Proboards.

I took a shot of a brief discussion they had in April 2012.  It really is a gem... and imagine questioning this is 2012.  Wow.

Absolutely priceless, don't you think?  McCann supporters at their very best... blinkered and scared to venture too far from their own comforts. Not to mention vile and insulting, although 'Potting Shitter' really did make us all laugh.  How novel and original... not.  (ProNote : must try harder)

Anyway, for those poor souls out there asking the question just how do we know what questions were put to Kate McCann by the Portuguese police in September 2007 and that she refused to answer them...?

WELL... it's all over the internet!!!!  Yes, it really is.  It's been in the public domain for a long time.  In the papers, on Youtube - all over the place.  And the reason it's all over the place, is that the Portuguese police actually released this information for us all to ponder upon.  Some of the questions that Mrs Mc refused to answer are very interesting.

You can view all of these questions on the very credible BBC News website - after 5 years, the questions are still available to view online. The BBC obviously think this is still newsworthy and of interest to the general public.  These question still remain to be answered.

Click here to visit the BBC News website and view those pesky questions.

The McCann Ordeal and the Press...

Mr McCann, father of missing Madeleine McCann, will say: "Kate and I had the misfortune to suffer from everything the press could throw at us. The reason we subsequently agreed to the ordeal of giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry was that we don't want anyone else to have to go through what we went through.

"The Leveson package, including the legal underpinning, is the minimum acceptable compromise for us, and judging by the polls, for the public at large too. Leveson without the law is meaningless."

The ordeal of giving evidence?  Oh boohoo BOOHOO.  Shame they couldn't go through the ordeal of giving evidence to the police when questioned - you know... for their child?  Shame they plonked themselves right in the firing line with their behaviour in Praia de Luz, that fateful May.

We know the McCanns just don't do 'for others' hence their me, me, me ordeal (!!! ROFL) at Leveson.  Judging by the polls?  Just who are these mysterious voters?  I've read that only around 2000 people were polled - that's hardly representative of Joe Public.  I personally would vote against anything that took Kate and Gerry McCanns word as gospel... even if the whole ordeal was under oath.  I read a great comment today saying that the McCanns and Hacked off were very strange bedfellows.  Very true, considering they claim they were never hacked.

The McCanns and their latest bandwagon inexcusably compares them to the likes of the Dowlers and other genuinely bereft and grieving families. Biting the hand that feeds comes to mind and the McCanns behave like they should be left alone to get on with their lives.  Like it's all over.

They seem to be forgetting that it's not over by a long shot - Madeleine is still missing... what will happen if the case is reopened.  What will happen if she's ever found?  That's when the press will have a field day  - maybe that's what the McCanns really fear.

And yes, we might be quiet... but we're still watching, still waiting.

For Madeleine...

Watching and waiting
For a friend to play with
Why have I been alone for so long
Mole, he is burrowing his way to the sunlight
He knows there's someone there so strong
Cos here there's lots of room for doing
The things you've always been denied
Look and gather all you want to
There's no one here to stop you trying
Soon you will see me
Cos I'll be all around you
But where I come from I can't tell
But don't be alarmed by my fields and my forests
They're here for only you to share
Cos here there's lots of room for doing
The things you've always been denied
So look and gather all you want to
There's no one here to stop you trying

Watching and waiting
For someone to understand me
I hope it won't be very long...

A McRound Up and THAT email...

Sorry for not blogging lately.  So many of you are doing a wonderful job persistently highlighting the flaws in this case.  I'm in awe of you all.  I'm still here, watching and waiting.

There was a flurry of news recently which most of you already know about.

Scotland Yard arrived in Porto to meet with their Portuguese counterparts.  Here's hoping it's all for good reasons and we'll see the reopening of the case.

We had yet another fake sighting of Madeleine, this time in Brazil which, thanks to Pamalam and Reggie Dunlop of the Maddie Case Files was revealed to be an Associated Press photo of a bomb scare at Ibiza airport.  Watch on YouTube

Next the McCanns bizarrely tried to back out of legal action, by asking Goncalo Amaral to settle out of court.  I say bizarre, because the McCanns are the claimants.  It's what we all expected really, isn't it? Watch on YouTube

Next week they take Tony Bennett to court.  A David and Goliath challenge where the claimants have a full array of legal eagles serving them, and the man in the corner has no-one.  Let's hope Mr B can find Goliath's achilles heel.  Watch on YouTube

And last but not least... a little nugget that's doing the rounds.  An email from the Missing Abroad charity in response to a query from a member of the public as to why Madeleine doesn't have her own page or free, downloadable poster.  Why she doesn't warrant a single mention on the site at all.  Read it and weep, folks.  Read it and weep...
RE: [Missing Abroad - Missing Person Enquiries] M Mccann

Thanks for your email.
Every time a new missing person profile is added to our website it is only with the express approval or request of the immediate family or guardian.
The day Madeleine was reported missing we offered our services and we did run a profile of her for a while, however the McCann’s staff contacted us and asked us to take it off the site as they had their own campaigns and didn’t require our help.
Kate is aware of the services we offer and indeed I have worked with her on the All Party Parliamentary Group dealing with Missing and Runaway Children and Adults.
Of course if it is requested we would immediately place a new profile on our website, but as long as they don’t ask, I’m afraid Madeleine won’t be on there.
I hope that answers your query?
Best wishes,

At the time, Missing Abroad operated under the name of The Lucie Blackman Trust.  Today, they issued a statement confirming the following...
We were called by a member of staff helping the McCann family who asked us to remove the content.  Therefore we removed the links and banner from the website.

Please visit the excellent Missing Abroad website - they do great work in highlighting the missing - you may just recognise someone. Unfortunately and although she is still missing abroad nearly 6 years on, Madeleine does not feature on the site.

Please also have a look at HideHo's excellent videos on YouTube or visit the forums for more information on the case... Maddie Case Files and The Complete Mystery of Madeleline McCann for starters.
